MVTR Rebuilds Bridge for the Classic Charity Ride
On Saturday April 25, 2020, a group of twelve volunteers from the Merrimack Valley Trail Riders rebuilt a bridge in Belmont, NH. Lead by David Rauseo, the group demolished a collapsed bridge on a discontinued snowmobile trail, and replaced it with a more narrow bridge. Located on private property, the landowner graciously permits the club to utilize trails for the New England Classic Charity Trail Ride for the benefit of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The project only took approximately 1-1/2 hours from start to finish, including loading of the demolition material for proper disposal. In the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, proper social distancing and cleanliness practices were carefully maintained.
